Privacy policy
This page is maintained by A.Evars (trading as AWRent) to explain how we handle personal data when you rent equipment from us. It describes our own practices and is not an independent certification or audit.

A.Evars is the data controller for all personal data described on this page.
What we collect
- Name, email address and phone number
- Rental dates, pickup time and the items you book
- Any message you write in the booking or contact form
- Order, invoice and payment records related to your rental
- Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the website
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive categories of personal data.
Why we use it and legal basis
- Contract: handling your booking, availability, pickup and return, deposits and payments.
- Legal obligation: bookkeeping and tax records under Finnish law.
- Legitimate interest: customer support, communication about your rental, and preventing misuse, damage or fraud.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Our website hosting and database provider
- Our email delivery provider, for booking and payment messages
- Stripe, for card payments and payment links
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising purposes.
How long we keep it
Booking, invoice and payment records are kept for as long as required by Finnish bookkeeping law. Other personal data, such as free-text messages, is deleted once it is no longer needed for the rental or for handling a related question or claim.
Cookies and local storage
Your booking cart and language choice are stored in your own browser so the site works between page loads. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Request erasure, where we are not required to keep the data
- Request restriction of processing, or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
To use any of these rights, email awrent.services@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto).
Consent when you book
When you submit a booking request you confirm that you have read this privacy policy. We store the date and time of that confirmation together with your booking as a record of the acceptance.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our services or providers change. The version shown here is always the current one.
